Nursery

Jubilee's nursery is almost ready for her! I love her room. My boys love her room. It's so peaceful and sweet feeling. We regularly just sit in there, talking about her, dreaming about her. I can't wait for her to fill the empty space.

  1. Hanna,

Oh, I just love it! So pretty. We went with a bird theme for Roman's room as well, though I like your mobile better (maybe because it's all so beautiful and girly). You can tell it is a very thoughtful room and that a lot of love went into it.

  2. Oh my..that room is perfection! I absolutely love it! (My husband and I alre also adopting from Rwanda and I read your blog...hope you don't mind :) I want to move in to Jubilee's room! I've pretty much decided on an owl theme but we don't know the gender and are hoping for 2 but may get 1 so I'm afraid to start decorating until we get a referral...if I can stand it... Sorry for the long comment! Nice to "meet" you!

  3. It is WONDERFUL! I cannot believe how close our tastes are, someday I may have you come shopping with me for home decor. I need to know where you get your stuff. It really is so lovely, Jubilee is going to love it. Such a perfect little girls room! Can't wait to see her in it!

  4. That is just so pretty!! How come our kids get better rooms than we do? Ha ha. Hope you don't mind if we 'borrow' a few design ideas from you:)

  5. Borrow Away! I have had a lot of fun with it and made or re-invented most of the stuff, including furniture. I am thrifty-meets-creative-meets-control-freak, so it was easier and more fun to dream up my own ideas. My wonderful mother sewed me up the fabric I bought on Ebay. If you decide to make a branch-mobile, you can buy those birds on Etsy.com. Some lady makes them out of real feathers. Way sweeter in real life!

  6. What a sweet happy room...and your photos are great. A very real depiction of the wonder and sweetness of the room. When I step in there, i want to stay. When i step in there i can totally see Jubilee smiling and loving the fact that she is finally home!
